Cole Custer Powers to Pole Position for Xfinity in Phoenix

AVONDALE, AZ – RIS - Cole Custer claimed pole position for Saturday’s Xfinity Series race finishing his lap 0.054 seconds ahead of Justin Allgaier. Kyle Busch will start at the rear of the pack due to an unapproved adjustment.  Only incident in qualifying was a meeting with the wall by Parker Klingerman during his run. Daniel Hemric, John Hunter Nemechek, and Sheldon Creed finished the runs in the top five.

Custer earned his 13th career series pole with a lap of 129.959 mph. He’ll be joined on the front row by Justin Allgaier (129.706 mph). Allgaier has finished no worse than third in the first three races of the season.
