Denny Hamlin celebrates his fifth win on the season as he tries to make his prediction of eleven a strong possibility if he has any say in the matter. Dean Patton Photo.

RIS-Long Pond, PA, Denny Hamlin powers his way to the front and the win for the 46th Annual Gander RV 400 at Pocono Raceway. Taking his fifth win out of his predicted 11 for the season Denny Hamlin leads the Joe Gibbs Racing to the win. In truth Joe Gibbs Racing takes the top three spots and does it in fashion.

With a Green, White, Checkered in a NASCAR overtime the team makes one heck of statement. Denny Hamlin takes the top spot wheeling the #11 FedEx Ground Toyota to the checkered flag, followed by Erik Jones; was voted most likely to win by the fans at Pocono, as he drove the #20 Reser’s Main St Bistro Toyota, followed by another Gibbs Racing Teammate, Martin Truex, Jr who chauffeured the #19 Bass Pro Shops/Tracker Off Road Toyota. This built the top three walkaways for the team.

Fourth place finisher William Byron in the #24 Liberty University Chevrolet. to round out the top five you will find Kyle Larson who muscled the #42 Credit One Bank Chevrolet. These results are unofficial until NASCAR finalizes an inspection and certifies the order of finish.

All in all, a great weekend for Pocono Raceway, NASCAR and the fans. With the changes coming for Pocono in 2020 they should be on solid footing and a grand new look fror NASCAR Events at Pocono International Raceway.

See you at the track.
