Dover, DE - RIS - Kyle Larson took it from the Pole to the Checkered Flag for the 36th Annual OneMain Financial 200 at Dover International Speedway. Larson drove the #42 Parker Store Chevrolet to Victory Lane with a big smile and some handy racing. At Dover International Speedway it was a tire race today and not a full milage contest. In the end it’s not like Kyle Larson is a novice at Dover. This may have been his first victory at Dover, but it is his sixth top ten finish, in just six starts at Dover in the NASCAR Xfinity Cup Series. It is also his 8th career win in the series.

Kyle Larson and Ryan Blaney started first and second and ended the event that way, but in between was a great battle. On one of three-restarts; of which there were ten and two for the segments, it appeared that Bubba Wallace; who was leading at the time, had some difficulties coming up to speed and thereby held up Blaney allowing Larson to build a head of steam that Blaney could never overcome for the event.

Kyle Larson and his team have three victories for the 2017 season, but is ineligible for driver points in the series. This is due to his being a NASCAR Monster Series Cup regular. In truth the top three finishers, Kyle Larson, Ryan Blaney, and Daniel Suarez are ineligible, but their participation does not hinder the Xfinity Series Drivers, it just gives them the drive to run with the so-called big boys.

Cole Custer driving the Haas Automation Ford #00 was the highest placing Rookie and he finished 4th in the event. 5th place went to Ryan Reed in the #16 Lily Diabetes Ford. Sixth place finisher was another Rookie, and this Rookie took home a great bonus of $100,000.00 from Xinity. William Byron in the #9 Liberty University Chevrolet received a check in that amount as the highest finisher in the forth and final “Dash for Cash” event sponsored by Xfinty Cable.

Seventh place finisher was Elliott Sadler driving the #1 OneMain Financial Chevrolet. Sadler is also the Series Points leader who maintains a 12 point lead over Justin Allgaier who finished 11th.

Eighth place went to Darrell(Bubba) Wallace, Jr in his #6 Disney Pixar Cars 3 Ford, Ninth place was another Rookie, Matt Tifft driving the #19 Tunity Toyota and to round out the top ten was #3 Ty Dillon who lead the first 67 laps of the event.

The results are not listed as final until NASCAR completes and full inspection of the event. The weather was excellent for the event and the fans had to enjoy the great temps, and exciting driving displayed by this on the Monster Mile.

See you at the track!
