INDIANAPOLIS - RIS - MAY 19, 2017 - At 4:35 pm on Fast Friday, Juncos Racing’s driver Spencer Pigot made very hard contact as his car snapped to the right at the apex of turn two, crossed up the track and hit nearly head-on into the SAFER Barrier on the outside of turn two. The car then stayed up hard against the wall and slid down the back straight.

Pigot was checked and released to drive, from the IU infield care center. Said Pigot, “I am not real sure what happened. I just went into the turn like always. we have had no trouble with that turn, and I was backwards.”
