Team Penske Scores 16th Pit Stop Contest Win
INDIANAPOLIS -RIS- (May 27, 2016) Helio Castroneves' hand-picked Pennzoil pit crew earned Team Penske its 16th TAG/Heuer Pit Stop Contest victory, easily besting a challenge from Mikhail Aleshin's #7 DOOM Dallara Schmidt-Peterson Motorsports crew.
The final tally was 12.235 seconds to 19.381 seconds.
Castroneves was the only driver to advance from the less-favorable right lane (against Graham Rahal), and opted to the faster, concrete-based left lane for the rest of his victory run.
The victory was worth $50,000 to Team Penske.
