zMAX Dragway Hauler Parade and NASCAR Night Kick Off Bank of America 500 Weekend
(CONCORD, NC – OCT. 6, 2015 – RIS) Race fans can watch team haulers parade down zMAX Dragway's quarter-mile before driving to Charlotte Motor Speedway's infield to set up for Saturday evening's Bank of America 500. Wednesday evening, the gates to the drag strip open at 5:00 pm, with the hauler parade starting approximately 6:15. After the parade, NASCAR drivers, crew and other personalities will be racing their private vehicles down the quarter mile 'Bellagio of drag strips' in match and exhibition races.
Entry is via the dragway at Gate 1. Fans can watch the hauler parade and NASCAR Night drag races from the grandstands.
The hauler parade and drag races are just one of the many events planned around the Bank of America 500 and Friday's Drive for the Cure "300" presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina NASCAR XFINITY Series race.
Pole night activities include the Better Half Dash race for wives, girlfriends and others in Bandoleros, raising money for Motor Racing Outreach, followed by the Southern Slam 150 for the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour finale.
