Traditionally, this is bump day at Indy, but with only 9 cars left to qualify, which will fill the field, there will be no bumping today.

Today all the drivers plus over 130 INDYCAR veteran drivers signed autographs at the speedway.
"Carburetion Day" shorten to "Carb Day", in recent years, is the day on which qualified cars for the starting field get one hour's practice in "Race Trim". The Freedom 100 and the Pit Stop competition, also, take place on this day.
24 qualified yesterday with 9 spots to fill today and then the bumping begins. If you get bumped from the field today the only possible way to get back in is bump someone else. All this fun begins at noon.

May 16th the 3rd day of practice, really the 2nd day since the 15th got rained out, is sunny but cool with temps in the 50's.
